The Australian Biome is a unique proposed tourism development zoned for 15 hectares of bush land at the Perth Airport. The land has been set aside for the construction of five giant biodomes to showcase Australia’s diverse flora, fauna and indigenous culture in a new entertainment precinct. The project is supported by Tourism WA.
Requiring a large reliable digital framework, this new centre will aim to supercharge WA Tourism, with plans to implement state of the art advanced technologies, a primary environmental focus and diversity inclusion on all levels. Offering unique experiences of WA’s different regions, from desert to ocean, these exhibitions and interactive displays will educate, entertain and highlight one of the world’s oldest living cultures.
Founder and Chairman of the Australian Biome, Terrence Dewar said “The Australian Biome is not only a needed tourism attraction for Western Australia, it is a highly ambitious initiative, focussing on Western Australia’s identity, while aiming to replicate the success of global attractions such as the Eden Project in the UK. Beyond being a major Australian attraction and brand, the Australian Biome will be a platform to drive economic benefit for Australian regional tourism, create employment and also for Aboriginal Australians sharing vital knowledge of culture and ecological resources.” Mr Dewar added, “Being Australian owned and operated makes DXN Limited the perfect fit for this project. DXN have proven themselves to be both capable and accomplished at supporting Data Centre infrastructure projects and we look forward to working with them to develop the solution.”
